An organic/peptide chemist Post Doc position is available in the “Diabetes Protein and Peptide Chemistry” department for a period of 2 to 3 years.
The department is responsible for engineering of peptide and protein therapeutics within diabetes and obesity care. The department has developed expertise at the interface of organic synthesis and protein chemistry to improve efficacy, kinetics, stability and formulation, and reduce immunogenecity of therapeutic peptides and proteins.
Challenges
Your main responsibilities will be to expand our competences within non-invasive drug delivery technologies. You will be joining a project group and will be responsible for creating and implementing new protein drug delivery technologies at the interface of organic chemistry and peptide/protein chemistry.
Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled organic chemist with experience or interest in protein chemistry and drug discovery.
The successful applicant should hold a PhD degree in organic chemistry, and have experience in protein chemistry or peptide chemistry. Further, experience or interest in drug delivery as well as in drug discovery is required.
The applicant should be able to work independently in the laboratory and in close collaboration with the project team.
