Structure and function of membrane intrinsic receptors
November 30, 2007
We are working on membrane intrinsic receptors in collaboration with several biochemically oriented groups in berlin. The receptors are expressed heterologously, purified and crystallized. X-ray diffraction data of the crystals will be collected at the Berlin synchrotron BESSY, processed and the structures determined by state of the art methods.Methoden:
Purification of receptors by chromatographic methods, protein X-ray crystallography, solution of the phase problem by heavy atom methods employing anomalous dispersion or molecular replacement, determination of the structures under guidance of experienced postdocs.
