The project in close co-operation with the Institute of Cancer Research of the Medical University of Vienna focusses on the bio-assay-guided isolation and investigation of cytostatic/cytotoxic compounds from plants from Costa Rica.
Methoden:
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a master degree in pharmacy or a related discipline of natural sciences and broad knowledge in the fields of pharmacognosy/pharmaceutical biology and/or molecular cell biology as well as the ability to communicate and publish in English.
Additional qualifications:
very good skills in German, knowledge in natural products chemistry and isolation of plant compounds, experience in cell-based assays (cultivation of cell lines, determination of apoptosis, cytotoxicity tests, FACS-analyses,…..), and in chromatographic separations (HPLC,…..).
